The Process Controls Engineer III is located on site at the Martin, SC facility.


Your Role:

EMD Electronics is seeking a results-driven Process Controls Engineer III to implement effective manufacturing processes at our plant.  You will be evaluating our existing manufacturing processes, developing process control strategies, and ensuring that our processes comply with industry specifications and regulations.  This position will report to the EMD Martin Site Director.


To ensure success as a Process Controls Engineer III, you should demonstrate extensive experience in optimizing control processes and specialization in a related field.  A top-notch process control engineer will be someone whose expertise translates into streamlined and cost-effective manufacturing processes.


Martin, South Carolina is in Allendale County bordering the beautiful Savannah River.  A community rich in history with over 50 historical sites to visit.  Stunning farms cover the landscape in this agricultural community.



  • Performing quality assurance on existing manufacturing processes.
  • Identifying areas that need process control optimization.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools.
  • Driving process control innovation in collaboration with support groups.
  • Recommending suitable software solutions and automating manufacturing processes.
  • Training teams on the implementation of new controls and processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Documenting processes and preparing progress reports.
  • Keeping abreast of developments and innovation in process control engineering.


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or in an industry-related field of specialization
  • 3+ years' experience in process control engineering in a manufacturing industry with proficiency in Project Management, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Control Systems


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Background
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical methods and continual improvement processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated individual able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Great organizational, time management, and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations
