LC-MS Senior Technician Biotech Development Center, Fenil sur Corsier, Global Analytical Development group
The Biotech Development Center (BDC) is the Merck next flagship biotech investment in line with the ambition to stay the Vibrant Science and Technology Company. The BDC is integrating analytical technologies of the future with high-tech automatized and digital laboratories, in a flexible, agile and highly collaborative environment.
Your role:
Reporting to Analytical Development Lab Manager in BDC Analytical Development and Innovation unit in the Global Analytical Development organization, this role represents an opportunity to significantly contribute to the startup of high-tech analytical laboratories in the BDC, by supporting the development and implementation of analytical assay for the high throughout therapeutics proteins analytics and characterization.
Your key responsibilities in this role are:
Contribute to the startup of high-tech development analytical laboratories in the BDC as following:
In this role your responsibilities will include:
- Perform routine testing techniques such as the following, with a high degree of reliability, efficiency and accuracy:
- HPLC/UPLC chromatography-based methods
- Intact protein and peptide mapping routine analysis
- Proteomics data treatment
- Contribute to design experiment, review data and analytical documentation in the frame of method performance evaluation in collaboration with scientists.
- Perform tabulation and statistical analyses of study data, as required.
You will participate to the design, planning and execution of assigned development-related experiments using existing or investigational procedures.
You will apply principles of quality by design (QbD) and of Good Laboratories Practices (GxP).
Who you are:
- You have a CFC or Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry or a related subject.
- Proven background in LC-MS mAb glycosylation analysis is a must, hands-on experience on Orbitrap HRMS series is a plus.
- Knowledge in Empower, on specific proteomics data treatment software such as Genedata is a plus.
- You have good oral and written understanding skills in English.
- You have rigorous attention to detail.
- You have a high degree of self-motivation, commitment, reliability and flexibility.
