Your Role:

As the Patterning Business Controller, you will act as a financial advisor to our Patterning Business and provide financial decision making on various operational and strategic matters. You will provide forecasts and bring transparency into business drivers, risks & opportunities and identify levers to improve financial performance. Besides preparing and analyzing monthly financial results, forecasts, and operating plans, you will have the opportunity to engage with the business on highly strategic topics, such as transformations and work on business cases and projects. You will support business-relevant analyses to support Controlling and business reviews, covering sales, internal spending, and ad hoc requests. You will ensure compliance with external and internal guidelines. You will have full P&L ownership for the business and will coordinate your business performance with other controlling functions e.g. ISC

The preferred location for this role is Tempe, AZ. Other locations may be considered. 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance or other related field
• 5+ years relevant experience in a Controlling role
• Experience in a global/international environment with in-depth knowledge in the areas of financial management, controlling, and international accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Finance or MBA
• Outstanding financial analysis skills. Strong business acumen and judgment, and current knowledge of company markets/products and industry trends. 
• Excellent strategic thinking, outstanding business analysis, financial planning and reporting skills that generate business insights that add measurable value.
• Problem-solving attitude with a high sense of urgency and strong project management capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) to executive stakeholders, and presentation skills. 
• Resilient work attitude with ability to work under pressure while keeping deadlines with a focus on quality
• Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix set-up to drove progress
• Affinity to IT applications and good knowledge of SAP FI/ CO, SAP BW, TM1 as well as MS Office (Excel/ Powerpoint)
• In all points - represents and lives the EMD Electronics’ values in each and every aspect and acting as a role model for his/her team.
• Electronics Market Knowledge, International Exposure.
