Your Role:
This is an engineering role responsible for maintenance and enhancement of fixed assets at a fine chemical manufacturing site. You will drive change through improvements to meet safety, quality, and efficiency targets. The operation consists of a 37,000 sq ft facility with chillers and air handlers and a wide variety of manufacturing equipment including automated handlers and custom-made chemical dispensers. Performance measures include adherence to safety and quality policies, ownership and successful handoff of engineering improvements, tracking OEE and driving improvement.
- Spearhead and execute intricate technical projects, utilizing your expertise to drive successful outcomes
- Take charge of leading technical initiatives that align with your specialized knowledge, ensuring seamless adaptations within the relevant domain
- Deploy state-of-the-art equipment onto the manufacturing floor, enhancing production capabilities
- Develop comprehensive work instructions and conduct training sessions to enable efficient and safe operations
- Collaborate closely with safety and quality teams to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Skillfully program manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, PCs, and microcontrollers, to optimize performance and precision
- Fine-tune manufacturing machinery to boost overall efficiency and productivity, leveraging data-driven insights to make informed decisions
- Generate meticulous documentation packages, leaving no details untouched in the pursuit of comprehensive records
- Demonstrate expertise in assembling and troubleshooting complex technical equipment, ensuring smooth operations at all times
- Install, troubleshoot, debug, and configure custom software solutions while adhering to the company's stringent IT policies
- Effectively create or modify technical and operational documentation, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and clarity
- Handle administrative responsibilities with proficiency, effectively managing various aspects of project coordination and reporting
Physical Attributes:
- Lift up to 50 pounds individually at times
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from ABET accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering
- 2+ years of experience repairing electromechanical equipment
- 5+ years of experience programming, installing, configuring Windows and/or PLC systems
- Programming experience – PLC, C#
- Lean/Six Sigma experience (Green belt or black belt)
- Effective communicator to all levels of organization
- Ability to write actionable technical documentation
