Your role:

As a member of the Global Drug Substance Development - Technology and Innovation team, you will work with a group of motivated scientists who are committed to developing and implementing solutions to support the production of new biological therapeutics.

Your focus will be on developing a Two-Step purification process that can replace the current monoclonal antibody purification process by exploring new technologies. Current standard monoclonal antibody purification process is typically composed of three chromatographic steps, a protein A chromatography followed by two ion exchange or multimodal one. This process scheme was developed many years ago and must now be challenged considering technological advances. Implementing a Two-Step process can bring several benefits compared to the traditional one, such as reducing development and manufacturing time, simplifying the manufacturing process, improving sustainability, and lowering the cost of goods. However, the main challenge associated to these processes is to maintain similar yields and quality attributes. Your objective is to explore the potential contributions of different new technologies towards developing a Two-Step purification process that can replace the current monoclonal antibody purification process.

You will be trained to be autonomous, and you will have the opportunity to present your work during various meetings.

Your profile:

  • Master/engineer student in biotechnology related fields
  • Highly motivated and autonomous
  • Ability to conceptualize, solve complex challenges, and communicate about your project
  • Great team spirit
  • Previous experience in DSP is a plus
  • Good written and oral knowledge in English, French is a plus
