• KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• The employee will be responsible for Ready-Made solutions and kits preparation, including Yeast drop-out media and producing formulated Antibiotics solution in Rehovot site and documents management, supporting manufacturing of over 150 products with annual sales of over $10 M

• Kits& Ready-Made biochemist is responsible for the manufacturing of Kits, Ready-Made solutions and drop-out media and formulated antibiotics and the performance of the required analytical tests. The biochemist orders the necessary raw material and verifies their arrival, manufactures the required products and performs analytical tests to ensure that the final product meets the specifications. The biochemist ensures that all the manufacturing process is accompanied by the appropriate documentation meeting compliance requirement. 

• Manufacturing of the different products according to the production protocols, in accordance with compliance and QA requirements.

• Working 2-3 days weekly at the Antibiotics suit in Rehovot formulated antibiotics production

• Protocols updating.

• Leading process improvement.

• QUALIFICATIONS

  EDUCATION/LANGUAGES

• B.Sc., M.Sc in Biology (Biochemistry and Biotechnology – Advantage).

• PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Experience in laboratory work - industrial experience is an advantage.

        2.   Experience with protocols/documents writing.

   

  Specific:

•  

• Experience with analytical methods (SDS-PAGE, Lowry, Bradford, Biuret, Karl Fischer) experience in enzymology (activity tests), cell-based assays – Advantage.

• Experience with sterile work – advantage.

• Experience with tissue culture work- advantage

• PERSONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Well organized, capable of meticulous work.

• Good interpersonal and communicational skills.

• Teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work independently.

• Learning capacity - able to learn fast the production processes and techniques

• Able to identify and to solve ongoing production difficulties.

• Good knowledge of IT applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Statistical Software).
