Your role:

The PM is responsible for establishing and enhancing business relationships with clients, by maintaining close communication through meetings, phone discussions, face-to-face meetings at client sites (if necessary), and ensuring clients are successfully engaged in BioReliance systems and processes.

 

Responsible for project management of assigned client accounts ensuring that projects meet timelines and that all specifications of the project are fulfilled.  The Project Manager is responsible for establishing, coordinating, and leading the project teams involved with their clients.  The PM utilizes Project Management methodologies and interpersonal skills in all phases of medium to high complexity projects.

 

Manage client accounts and projects as assigned ensuring clients are successfully engaged in BioReliance systems and processes.

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering projects such as Cell Line Characterization, Viral Clearance, and lot releasing projects when assigned across the region.

 

If any project is part of a larger program, the PM is responsible for ensuring information is shared with the Program Manager and the project proceeds to meet the timelines and specifications of the program.  They are responsible for establishing and directing project teams within their own division if applicable. 

 

PM establishes project schedule, communicates effectively with all stakeholders, and maintains a centralized file of key milestones and historical information.   They are accountable for the accurate assembly, analysis and reporting of metrics around client service, quality and communication, both internally and externally.

 

The PM is responsible for monitoring and closing out assigned projects. Develops and solidifies client relationships and raises the profile of key clients within the organization. The PM will work closely with cross-functional teams namely Account Management, Business Development, Operations, Quality, Orders Management and Marketing to ensure a seamless service and success of the assigned projects.

 

As part of the training for the PM, the Global Program Management web site and the PM Warehouse (or equivalent) are used as the source of PMO templates, guidance documents, and project execution requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Project Manager is responsible for accounts across the region. The main responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Work with Account Managers and Business development to ensure signed proposals and/or quotations are received according to the scheduled dates. Ensure projects are conducted within the scope and conditions of the signed Proposals and/or quotations and Quality Service Agreement.

 

  1. Demonstrates adherence to APAC PMO practices and templates. Conducts Project Kick-off Meetings with client and internal stakeholders according to the project schedule. Responsible for executing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting on the progress of the project, as well as other assigned project to the sponsor and stakeholders. Monitor project objectives, quality deliverables, and project performance. This is to ensure the project is on schedule, task deliverables are being met, and changes in the project are being managed.

 

  1. Provides effective and timely communication both to internal and external clients. Organizes, leads and participates in Project and Client meetings (internal and external). Sets up communication channels via instant messaging apps (where applicable). Ensure close communication on project status and issues with all project stakeholders, including communicating assay results and/or any unexpected deviations from agreed timelines within the context of the project specification and taking ownership to resolve the issues. Demonstrates awareness of escalation procedures and routes and executes appropriately.

 

  1. Responsible for highlighting any issues that may lead to a client complaint to the PMO Head.  Also responsible for ensuring any complaints are dealt with through the formal complaints SOP and in the Quality System. Works with Quality Assurance to support client audits. Manages each quality record per relevant SOPs, regulatory guidance and / or QSA with the client. Works to relevant regulatory practices i.e. GLP/GMP.

 

  1. Ensures clients are on-boarded to iNet. Responsible for adhering to the iNet compliance and security SOP.

 

  1. Monitors and ensures materials required for the project are shipped out by clients and received at TAR in a timeline manner. Support clients on specific permit requirements for shipping samples (where appropriate).

 

  1. Effective Hold Management knowledge and expertise (e.g., Resolution of pending purchase orders, closing information gaps, client requests and TAR discrepancies).

 

  1. Responsible for Test Article Receipt (TAR) discrepancy management (i.e. mismatch between submission documents and Test Article received), relevant LIMS field completion, as well as client requirement verification.

 

  1. Monitors scope creep and work with AM/BD to ensure additional service agreements are issued where applicable.

 

  1. Maintain a project repository for each designated account so that everyone involved in the project can be aware of milestones and background information.

 

  1. Responsible for project close out tasks such as getting client feedback through online survey, organizes return shipment of client materials, organizes mandarin translation of reports, actively drive timely report finalizations and amendments where required.

 

  1. Receives minimal instruction for routine tasks and minimal instructions for new tasks.

 

  1. Adheres to applicable safety SOPs and follows applicable safe work practices.

 

  1. Actively maintains a clean, tidy and safe work environment.

 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

 

  • B.S. in Life Sciences; M.S. in the Life Sciences is preferred.
  • Courses and/or certificate in Project Management are beneficial.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a job where good verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience in hosting multi-site conference calls across continents.
  • Experience in project management, in particular running clinical, scientific, engineering, validation projects would be ideal.
  • Experience in operation, quality management in bio-medical industries is a plus.
  • Experience in bio-manufacturing, in particular mAb, CGT industry is a plus.
  • Familiar with working with regional clients is a plus.
