Your Role: The Head of Access & Operations will be responsible for leading the market access and pricing functions within the MAP & GPA team. They have 4 direct reports- two Field Access Managers and two Pricing Managers and will be responsible for all head-office and field-based market access and pricing activities across the organisation to help maximise commercial outcomes & shape a favourable operating environment for the business.
The Head of Access & Operations will also be responsible for engaging with and influencing key market access & policy stakeholders within the UK (NHSE/NICE/ NHS Scotland/ SMC).
The role will provide leadership and support for the UK Business unites priorities to understand key areas of unmet need, market access and policy challenges and deliver solutions to optimise the access environment for Merck portfolio products and therapy areas.
The role will lead on the strategy and delivery of market access & pricing solutions to enable excellence in all customer market access engagements to enhance and accelerate uptake.
Who you are:
- Degree, or equivalent, in a relevant topic.
- Proven experience in Market Access & Pricing and developing BU/brand solutions aligned to latest NHS policy and priorities
- Extensive experience in commercial or customer facing roles.
- Strong understanding of how brand value aligns with policy priorities and developing VP solutions
- Clear evidence of multidisciplinary team working
- Managing successful relationships with agencies
- Knowledge of zinc approval process and delivering projects to agreed deadlines
- People management experience is advantageous.
