Your Role:

MilliporeSigma is looking to add to their Quality team in Burlington, MA!  As a Quality Engineer working in the Burlington Bioactive Small Molecule department, you will be working on various products to oversee the product cycle as well as assisting in ISO 9001 audits. 


  • Lead process improvement teams for Quality System related initiatives/projects
  • Support the Head of Quality Assurance with the implementation and monitoring of programs such as Data Integrity and Operational Excellence
  • Take on role of project manager for various process improvements and projects for the site
  • Responsible for calibration and preventive maintenance activities including managing records within local system and SAP
  • Aid in creation and maintenance and of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, aligned with ISO 9001 requirements and company standards and policies
  • Act as site Subject Matter Expert for Root Cause Analysis
  • Handling of Quality deviations (including initiation, recording, investigating and closing out)
  • Responsible for site qualification, validation and verification activities
  • Assist with the implementation of Quality Risk Management activities
  • Participation in Management Review Process, including data analysis and trending for KPIs
  • Perform other functions and duties that may be assigned by the Quality manager


Who you are:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Engineering or other scientific field
  • 2+ years working in biotechnology or science field


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective written/verbal communication within QC/QA and with cross functional groups; ability to convey any relevant information/potential problems etc. to Sr. staff members; coordinate with Jr. staff members, as necessary
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant areas of group; performs range of routine/non-routine assignments to solve problems of moderate complexity
  • Analyzes factual information and proposes possible solutions to make independent judgement, recommendations and decisions
  • Able to write and develop procedures independently; execute moderate projects with no supervision and complex projects with little to no supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of SAP, Trackwise and Microsoft Office
