Your Role:

EMD Electronics is immediately hiring a Research Technician to join its team in Catoosa, OK, and offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus!


As a Research Technician you will perform all routine and non-routine operations associated with Arsine, 3MS, 4MS, Assay, and scrubber analysis independently as well as all associated quality management systems (QMS) functions. You will also read and maintain control charts for calibration, raw material approval, and finished goods and identify any non-conforming events and escalate/troubleshoot accordingly. Working hours are 5 days, 8-hour shifts, 4 days, 10-hour shifts, with flexibility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing all Arsine, 3MS, TiCl4, POCl3 and 4MS analysis with minimal supervision and associated container change outs using the proper procedure
  • Locating, understanding, and modifying local procedures for each analysis associated to the above chemicals
  • Proposing solutions to problems to subject matter experts before attempting any undocumented corrective actions
  • Following directions from management, handling competing priorities, and adjusting to the business needs based on delivery dates, and customer needs
  • Performing invasive maintenance under the guidance of the Lab Supervisor
  • Meeting or exceeding the goals identified by the Lab Supervisor and communicating challenges when goals are not met
  • Understanding QMS programs, and adhering to the associated standards
  • Accurate reporting of non-conforming products
  • Documenting and reporting of special projects
  • Participating and leading the Basic Safety Process

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other science field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a chemical analysis laboratory
  • Experience with the analysis of Arsine, 3MS, 4MS, POCl3, TiCl4 assay, scrubber analysis and associated chemical products
  • Basic understanding of the process flow of materials through the plant
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for the analysis of products
  • Experience meeting identified metrics for production
  • Advanced knowledge of approval and traceability of all products using SAP and Labware, including material downgrades
  • Advanced understanding of GC, ICPMS, UV-VIS, general chromatography instrumentation operations
