Your Role:

An exciting new opportunity to join the Microbiology Lab as a Quality Control Technician II/III in the Virus Group at MilliporeSigma has arrived. The position will support all laboratory functions, as well as sample analysis through several tests procedures.  


  • Perform daily quality control testing and report results to manufacturing. 
  • Assist in the development of production standards to meet quality specifications and may recommend procedural changes. 
  • Help maintain the Microbiology Lab in audit-ready and cGMP compliant manner at all times.
  • Monitor equipment and instrumentation used on a daily basis to ensure proper operation and calibration. 
  • Work in fast paced, multi-disciplinary team environment. 
  • B Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM


Physical Attributes:

  • Lifting up to 25lbs
  • Perform repetitive tasks including frequent hand to finger manipulations


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or 2+ years of Quality Lab experience in lieu of degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience with bacteriophage assays and methodologies and working with host bacteria. 
  • Previous experience in Microbiology field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or work experience in a similar field
  • Quality Control and cGMP experience
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Work in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Manage time efficiently and multi-task
  • Read and follow SOPs and interpret technical data
  • Evaluate methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved
  • Work in laboratory Biosafety Level 2 environment and work with teammates in multi-shift operation
