Your Role:

The Biology Technical Marketing Manager leads marketing support and execution by acting as key interface between Business Field / Product Marketing, Applications Development, and Commercial Organization. This position is aligned with both our Cell & General Workflow Tools (CGT) and Cell Biology Reagents (CBR) portfolios and is globally responsible for driving workflow selling of our core cell culture-based products as well as pushing market adoption for our strategic NPI’s.

 

This role is open to remote work and can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Facilitate activities between Business Field and Commercial organization, providing both strategic and tactical input
  • Coordinate Business Field contribution to regional initiatives, including project direction, planning, execution of product solutions and evaluation of results
  • Collaborate with Franchises and Commercial Education organization to develop and deliver effective technical / product/ workflow training aligned with priorities
  • Support and drive key NPI initiatives such as VOC interviews, alpha/beta trials, product launch trainings, and market adoption plans
  • Large opportunity proactive targeting and development support
  • Manage and/or provide support to specific projects relevant to improving commercial and product execution
  • Enable development and promotion of materials and tools to drive effective selling into target applications, workflows, and customer personas
  • Work with Franchise (Product) Marketing, Marketing Communications and R&D to steer development and marketing of the applications required and the products needed by customers in our target markets
  • Support Commercial and Franchise groups in customer site visits, seminars, and participating in tradeshows
  • Customer intelligence; positioning, SWOT, competitor analysis, application trends

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of demonstrated marketing and/or selling experience in the Laboratory & Life Science market
  • Bachelor’s Degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or related field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. or PhD preferred, MBA a plus
  • Candidates must demonstrate a natural affinity to influence and/or sell to all levels of an organization
  • Able to network and build and maintain strong relationships, credibility, and trust
  • Deep understanding of research workflows, able to integrate products and techniques in cross-franchise capacity
  • Ability to build on strong technical knowledge base, provide support across LSB as needed
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of independence
  • Ability to adjust in response to business priorities
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities to function in a complex, matrix business environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Intellectually curious; able to assimilate a broad base of information to quickly understand customer needs and match those to opportunities and corporate capabilities
  • Willingness and ability to work with many environments, hours and cultural areas to accomplish the job
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse business units and regions to develop and support sales plans
