Your Role:

The Calibration Coordinator at MilliporeSigma involves parts planning and ordering, calibration scheduling, identifying resources needed to keep activities on time and supplier interactions. The calibration coordinator must build a level of trust with the suppliers and provide services as the liaison between the suppliers and engineers/supervisors for calibration related tasks.  Work Schedule: Weekdays, Monday to Friday.

 

  • Understand and follow all written documents including standard preventative maintenance and production operational operating procedures (SOP’s), forms, Test Methods, and Test Specifications
  • Support Engineering on new equipment and existing equipment calibrations
  • Support various departments (Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Customer Care, Prototype, R&D and Warehouse) on Customer Audits
  • Work with calibration suppliers, engineers, various department leads / supervisors to coordinate calibration of equipment
  • Track and deliver assets which are sent off site to ensure there are properly calibrated and returned to meet the requirements per the Danvers Calibration SOP
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation for all assets calibrated on & off site.
  • Maintain the calibration spare parts database.
  • Coordinate all functions related to the calibration of all gages / assets, measuring, and other testing equipment used for inspection of materials and products for conformance to dimensional requirements or similar physical properties
  • Review calibration certificates to ensure data is correct and within tolerance.

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Use of hand tools, small power tools and test equipment.
  • Lift or move equipment/material weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.

  

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with calibration concepts and requirements including accuracy testing, traceability and substitution of standards in a regulated environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED and a Trade School degree/certification in HVAC.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in any field
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and math skills to allow for the accurate recording of technical data
  • Strong understanding of equipment frequencies
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • Excellent documentation skills and high paperwork accuracy
  • Independent thinking skill, able to problem solve based on changing priorities and various department needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are relied upon in all areas of responsibility
  • Must be flexible and adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within an organization.
  • Sufficient writing skills to compose a variety of documents, with the ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, or in teams, as per the instructions of engineering/manufacturing leadership with minimal direct supervision
  • Good organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills and ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
