Scientist Quality Associate

The Quality Scientist Associate will test raw materials and finished goods, and qualification and stability samples, according to approved procedures or compendia (such as USP, EP, ACS) following site quality and safety standards. Specific job duties are:
- Evaluate results against approved specifications
- Perform peer review of analytical data and release data from QC in a timely manner to meet scheduled release dates
- Generate and update QC SOPs in support of Analytical testing and other related laboratory activities
- Ensure test methods are validated or verified as appropriate to the method
- Lead continuous improvement efforts as agreed with Supervisor/Manager
- Maintains records of test data per compliance to site quality testing and documentation
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and supplies according to approved procedures
- Train other personnel on procedures
- Contribute to a safe working environment by following corporate and departmental safety regulations
- Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Science, or other Life Science
- 2+ years of GLP experience
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of chemistry and quality standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally
- Proficient with analytical instrumentation, such as spectroscopy (FTIR, UR-Vis), polarimetry, titration, and chromatography (HPLC, GC) as well as wet bench chemistry testing
