Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Single Use & Integrated Systems Engineer II within the Research and Development organization’s Process Solutions business unit will develop novel products used in the processing and purification of pharmaceutical and biotech product streams.


  • Support technical teams in designing, developing, and validating single use products.
  • Lead flex ware design and validation processes
  • Transfer robust products and processes into manufacturing and support commercial launch
  • Up to 5% domestic and or international travel



Who You Are:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with product development and, or product design in pharmaceutical or biotech environment
  • 3+ years of CAD experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • CAD skills and proficiency with SolidWorks & PDM
  • Experience in designing & prototyping single use film-based product assemblies
  • Experience in plastic component design & prototyping 
  • Hands-on approach in a development lab & MFG environment to execute design proposals
  • Problem solving, experimental design, data analysis (Minitab), FMEA, & DFM
  • Ability to present projects to a broad audience, while communicating successes and improvement opportunities
  • Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and and able to build effective relationships with team members representing a broad range of functions (R&D, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and product management).
  • Experience writing & contributing to technical reports, presentations, validation documentation for manufacturing processes, IQOQPQ, and specification documentation (URS,NPDS, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work and PowerPoint)
