Your Role:

  • The Director of Market Access & Pricing (MAP), Government & Public Affairs (GPA) and Communications Philippines is responsible for the development and implementation of integrated Market Access & Pricing and public affairs strategies to drive strategic business goals.
  • Will be required to oversee the access at national and hospital level to optimize pricing, reimbursement and access and support the growth of the business.
  • Also responsible for driving internal communications and external strategic communications either directly or through supporting the business in their specific communications efforts.
  • Will be a strategic business partner to the general manager, providing counsel and leading the communications mandate.
  • Will be a member of the Healthcare extended country leadership team, the Healthcare business leadership team and an occasional invitee to other leadership teams eg country council.
  • Should have an enterprise mindset to deliver and focus on what is best for the business, team, and healthcare community.
  • Supports the General Manager across these functional domains and serves as a strong business partner to the BU heads and other internal stakeholders.
  • Will be responsible for deliverable across five domains:


MAP/GPA Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop & implement an integrated access and public affairs strategy outlining the key priorities, plans and actions incl. external engagement strategies
  • Developing strong pricing & access strategies for launch and in-line brands in collaboration with business and the region
  • Provide MAP input into country Brand Strategies and Brand Planning
  • Adapt global value dossiers and HE models with strong leverage of local data and evidence to ensure a strong submission and outcomes
  • Provides timely insights to inform and shape RWE strategy for the asset in collaboration with cross-functional local and regional teams
  • Plan, drive or support negotiation process to optimize access and price achievement
  • Disease awareness strategy support


Strategic Pricing Management:

  • Develop or support the development of strong business cases with a solid understanding of commercial potential
  • Optimise pricing across portfolio with a view to protecting value and optimizing profitability
  • Maintain strong insight on competitor strategies, pricing and activities in different channels
  • Ensure compliance to global and local pricing SOP incl. management of the local input into the global pricing database and maintain data quality for the market
  • Maintain an overview of list and net prices for key brands and work with local finance to provide the relevant inputs for business processes and be an active business partner in cross-functional business discussions  
  • Interacts with authorities and relevant stakeholders to find optimal solutions to proactively shape the access and pricing landscape


Key Account Management:

  • Support KAM team as needed


Governmental and Public Affairs:

  • Develop and execute Philippines Government Affairs strategy with the aim to understand and influence healthcare trends and policies which may impact the Company's business.
  • Establish influential stakeholder relationships. This includes responsibility for mapping public institutions and other stakeholders, developing advocacy strategies and materials focusing on Company profile and specific policy objectives
  • Actively networking and managing day-to-day advocacy with public institutions and guiding senior level relationships and outreach.
  • Demonstrate a holistic understanding of the business and use this to identify areas of collaboration with stakeholders to advance business interests
  • Map interest organizations and build strong partnership platforms for dialogue and strengthen the Company's value proposition for key stakeholders
  • Develop strategic approach to local trade association engagement aligned with business priorities.  Represent/ support GM participation in trade associations and relevant Institutions or conferences



  • Be a strategic Business Partner to the General Manager; provide counsel and lead the communications mandate
  • Drive internal communications and messaging through collaboration and execution with leadership teams, management of key internal social media channels (eg Facebook) and management of town halls
  • Own or support certain CSR activities from comms, eg supporting requests and internal publicity for the Company's Family Foundation initiatives
  • Support BU and medical as needed on communications plans and communications documents including oversight on review and approval systems for those
  • Build plans to increase external engagement activities to increase the Company's  presence and positioning within the market


Who You Are:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in public affairs, market access and pricing roles in country
  • Requires a Master’s degree in pharmacy or management /equivalent experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken Tagalog and English
  • Strong formal and informal Leadership & management skills including ability to:
    • business partner with other members of the Country Leadership Team and Regional stakeholders
    • cultivate, lead, and engage teams in a matrix organization to deliver on objectives while striving for growth and advancement, both individually and of the function
    • in developing and leading a team in complex and ever-changing patient, payer and competitive environment.
  • Has an integrated and problem-solving mindset to bring together access, evidence and pricing and public affairs as fit to achieve the desired outcome
  • Business and financial skills 
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to contribute expert to regional and global franchise strategies
  • Strategic and analytical thinker incl excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong understating of Country health care systems with ability to translate trends into actional insights for the organisation
  • Strong network in the country with relevant stakeholders
  • Experience in developing HE models, writing dossiers based on appraisal of clinical and economic data, developing pricing business cases and value communication
  • Strong negotiation & influencing skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing alternative contracting models
  • Experience with RWE is an advantage
  • Strong process/project manager with the ability to communicate and influence

  • Normal and routine office/administrative duties
  • Up to 20% domestic travel
