Your Role:

Our Process Development Engineering team provides Process Engineering support for our company globally. Support is distributed among large capital projects, process improvements in existing plants, and general process engineering support in frame of New Product Introduction or Technology Development initiatives. As head of our Process Discovery team, you will lead a global, midsize team of Chemical Process Engineers in accordance with and inspired by our strategy, our values and behaviors.
The principal accountabilities of your team include the development of unit operations and technology for novel chemistries. The scope of work covers all unit operations of a chemical manufacturing pro­cess in both, batch or continuous mode. The process design is underpinned with lab and pilot scale experiments and the team is used to guide scientific lab assistants.
You are well connected in the Chemical Engineering community and you are used to present scientific content appropriately to different target groups. You are keen on collaborating with R&D scientists globally to transition new technologies to plant-scale and you show the acumen of providing Process Engineering support to Operations to help resolve process bottlenecks and other long-standing issues.


Who You Are:

  • Master in Chemical Engineering with several years of experience in Process Development, Operations or Process Improvement in process industries.
  • An advanced degree is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in first-principles based models and simulations for process design and optimization
  • Excellent organization and time management, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Experience in defining safety design specifications
  • Experience in designing processes under regulated conditions (e.g. GMP) is a plus
  • Experience in mentoring of young professionals as well as experienced engineers
