Your Role:

The Operational Excellence team is charged with driving continuous improvement through our operations with the use of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Our aim is to transform our manufacturing sites to provide the highest levels of safety, quality, service, and employee satisfaction. We are looking for an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join the Operational Excellence team at our Sheboygan site in the Life Science Inorganics, Organics & Solvents (IOS) Cluster. You will work with site leadership to develop multi-year plans and partner with them to track progress. You will lead workshops/projects, and will prepare, execute, and follow-up on workshops across sites and build capability in the organization through project coaching and through periodic delivery of training. You will lead and execute major process improvement and cost savings projects, to deliver financial results within specified time frames. You will initiate, lead and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to achieve cost, quality, service, and/or safety improvements through the application of DMAIC, rapid improvement events, and Lean fundamentals deployment. You will report to the Head of Operational Excellence of the IOS Cluster. 


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry
  • 5 plus years of experience, preferred in chemical or pharmaceutical industry 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry
  • Enjoy being bold and taking on new challenges
  • Ability to partner with a leadership team to refine goals and translate into an overall initiative plan
  • Ability to identify, quantify, and target the largest loss or opportunity area in a site
  • Proven track record of developing people in their capability to deploy new standards broadly
  • Experience leading, executing complex process improvement projects
  • Experience identifying waste, developing specific proposals and execution plans for improvement projects
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to manage local continuous improvement pipeline with the site management teams including the selection and tracking of running projects
  • Ability to influence with indirect or no authority
  • Exhibit excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Coach and train Lean Six Sigma Belts
  • A self-starter with efficient and effective organization skills
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.
