Your Role: 
At MilliporeSigma and reporting to the Manager of Advanced Drug Delivery in the contract manufacturing sector, the Analytical Scientist will work in the Process and Analytical Development department to develop and implement analytical methods for lipid nanoparticles. 


  • Contribute toward analytical chemistry development efforts to deliver customer project milestones on-time and on-quality
  • Understand challenges in the contract manufacturing industry and work to ensure MilliporeSigma is on the cutting edge of lipids and lipid nanoparticles / liposomes
  • Keep updated on product and industry knowledge and “best-in-class” analytical technologies
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in the planning, execution, and documentation of experimental work
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust and consistent processes and control strategies for liposomes to the GMP organizations


Who You Are: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or other related scientific discipline with 1+ years laboratory experience
  • 6+ months experience with chromatographic techniques such as HPLC and GC
  • 6+ months experience with spectroscopic techniques such as UV, fluorescence


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience documenting work and delivering results in a timely manner
  • Experience with particle characterization techniques (DLS / Zeta Potential)
  • Experience with analysis of nucleic acids (RNA / DNA)
  • Experience analyzing or working with lipids
  • Experience in bioanalytical techniques to measure endotoxins and/or bioburden
  • Experience working with digital tools such as chromatography data systems and electronic notebooks
