Your role: 


Within the Process Solutions Commercial organization, you are part of the Customer Applications team responsible for the Upstream portfolio, specifically supporting and driving the adoption of EMEA Upstream solutions (technologies and services) and reporting back to business market trends and needs.You will translate marketing plans into actionable actions for account managers in Europe, Middle East and Africa for Process Solution Upstream solutions including primarily cell lines, cell culture media/supplements with an open mindset to position solutions from the entire Upstream ecosystem. You plan, organize, co-ordinate and control these plans.

You are responsible for the organization and tailoring of technical and business process-related trainings of account managers. You develop impactful sales tools and drive campaigns specific for local initiatives.

You monitor and report to business on regional KPIs by collecting voice of customers from technical application consultants, account managers, MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) and other customer facing functions to influence the global marketing plans.


You collect regional market insights (pricing, competition, trends…) and use this knowledge to influence global marketing and operational decisions.



​​​​​​​You work with our Digitalization, Events and Marcom teams to expand our reach via e-commerce, web campaigns, conferences and thought leadership activities. 


Who you are:


    • Master degree (Marketing, Science)
    • Biopharmaceutical market / Biopharm Processes, with a minimum of 3 years experience in Upstream processing
    • Ability to build strategic working relationships.
    • Analytical mindset to prioritize and organize work
    • Digital agile
    • Think & act strategically & agile in adapting needs
    • Strong communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, and organization skills.
    • Strong influencing skills with the ability to leverage decisions at a high level.
    • Excellent presentation skills.
    • Strong execution skills in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
    • The ability to profile customer manufacturing processes to identify & couple opportunities to Merck products, services, and solutions.
    • Willingness to travel up to 10-15% time
