Your role:

During your internship you will work in the exciting area of research and development of new products. Understanding and analytical characterization of these new products is a precondition for the understanding and prediction of the processability as well as efficiency of the final product. Your work will focus on the development of a new image processing and analysis tool to process and analyse images captured by scanning electron microscopy of particulate systems that come from various sources, e.g. pharmaceutical products, chemical products and samples from the many innovative Research and Development projects. You will become acquainted with scanning electron microscopy and automize the evaluation of these high-resolution images. A further topic will be the automatization of processing of large data amounts.


Who you are:
•    You are currently studying optical technology, image processing, physics, informatics, or related fields in the second half of your studies. 
•    You can work independently, show initiative and very good organizational skills. 
•    A deep knowledge of programming and image processing are required. 
•    Excellent spoken and written German and/or English is imperative.


Duration: at least 6 months, starting in February/March 2022
