Job Description

A tele-sales executive is responsible for promoting the company’s products over the phone, managing customer expectations and relationship through regular follow-ups. The role is also responsible for obtaining clarification from the business and responding with the requested information appropriately.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Promote and sell products/services: Milli-Q water purification systems, accessories, consumables and service to potential or existing customers over phone, by managing the customer relationship
  • Apply knowledge of the life sciences industry as well as the scientific knowledge about the product while detailing the technical data about product over the telephone
  • Explain product specifications and product market image/brand to life science professionals through telephone to enable him/herself for participation in discussion
  • Assist the customer and resolve queries by filling up enquiry forms related to product, service requests, clarification of doubts related to product over the phone
  • Manage customer relationships through regular follow-ups and building up customer loyalty through strong relationships
  • Perform reporting and documentation using different software tools for data entry and recording
  • Generation of leads using various sales procedures
  • Recall the content of sales script and modify it by analysing the need and other trade factors
  • Demonstrate product promotion strategy
  • Enlist and present solutions customized to the customer needs from the existing products or services
  • Present complete information to customers on terms of trade, mode of payment and after sales services
  • Identify customer complaints by listening and understanding the problem
  • Provide the appropriate solution to customer complaints
  • Coordinate with various businesses/teams to obtain necessary details for responding to customer query/complaint
  • Prepare daily and monthly sales reports as per reporting norms

 

 

 

 

 

 

Core technical skill, experience, competency and qualification required

  • Diploma/Bachelor Degree in any science related field
  • Min 2 years of previous sales experience required with a mix of new business development and working with existing accounts and ability to demonstrate the process of telesales
  • Proven track record of customer relationship development and management
  • Ability to understand buying behaviour and needs of customers
  • Be results-driven, collaborative, innovative and future-oriented
  • Ability to apply core and professional skills as well as communication skills, analytical thinking, customer centric approach and decision making while promoting and selling the products via tele media
  • Ability to work independently and is responsible for own work and learning.

 

 

Selection criteria

  • Excellent communication skills while talking with life science professionals on telephone
  • Pronounce the product name correctly
  • Good English grammar while communicating product specifications to target customers
  • Corporate manners and etiquettes while interacting with customers and stakeholders
  • Communicate with confidence while describing the product over phone
  • Demonstrate how to maintain customer loyalty by building a strong customer relationship
