As part of the Supply Chain of Division Lifescience of the Group Merck, Supply Network Planning is responsible for the execution of the processes related to product availability. Our mission is to optimize our inventory to ensure to have “the right products, at the right quantity, in the right place” to meet our Customers demand.
The open position is reporting to the Network Planning (NP) Director based in St. Louis. The preference is that the position be based in one of the chemical manufacturing locations as it will primarily support this segment. The position is a permanent position aimed to support additional activities and to reinforce the existing Supply Chain Network Planning team.
With your leadership and your experience, you participate to establish the processes and appropriate information flows with your main partners: Production Planning, Demand Planning, Marketing, Customer Services and Sales.
You manage the supply for your product portfolio globally to sustain global product availability. Part of this is a wide contribution to global projects at the interface between Marketing and Operations. You drive continuous global improvement activities to improve the overall supply chain performance. Moreover you contribute to further development of the global supply network and implement APO Supply Network Planning in a day to day set-up. Role will be located in either Cleveland, OH or St. Louis, MO.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- 1 + years of professional experience in Operations or a Supply Chain field
- Team player, able to work cross divisionally / internationally
- Customer-oriented, problem solver, analytical skills
- Computational skills, especially in SAP
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Pharmaceuticals and process solutions knowledge
- Knowledge of Process Solutions business portfolio
