Your Role:
The qualified candidate (all genders) will play an important role in early drug development programs by running hit identification campains measured by various mass spectrometry technologies. Together with your team you develop automated sample preparation workflows for mass spectrometry measurements. With your proven background in biochemistry and mass spectrometry analyses you establish physiologically relevant label-free biological assays and binder screens for novel targets in our drug discovery. In collaboration with the Discovery Pharmacology team, you further characterize your identified small molecule starting points.You are responsible for high quality and efficient data workflows, data interpretation and for the presentation of results within cross functional research project teams. Furthermore, you will scout and evaluate novel high throughput MS technologies and assess the value for internal set up.
Who You Are:
- Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, biotechnology or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in high throughput mass spectrometry; at least 3 years workling experience in an equivalent environment
- Experience in the setup of robust biological assays
- Experience in lab automation or miniaturization is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and German
