Internship – Perfusion process in bioreactors optimization
Location: Corsier-sur-Vevey
Start date: around 01.02.2024
Duration: about 6 months
Your role:
As a member of the Global Drug Substance Development, you will work with a group of motivated scientists who are committed to developing and implementing solutions to support the production of new biological therapeutics.
Within this group, your mission will focus on the perfusion platform process improvement in bioreactors ranging from 2 mL to 3.5 L equipped with automatic retro-control and Raman spectroscopy.
You will be trained to work independently in the lab (cell thawing, cell expansion, work under laminar flow hood, in process control, etc) and will actively participate in experimental design. Additionally, you will analyze and present your data in project discussions and write a report to conclude your internship.
Your profile:
- Master/engineer student in biotechnology or other related fields
- Highly motivated and autonomous
- Ability to conceptualize, solve complex challenges, and communicate about your project
- Great team spirit
- Previous experience in cell culture is a plus
- Good written and oral knowledge in English, French is a plus
