Your Role:
Global Value Demonstration (GVD) is an integral component of the Global BioPharma’s Global Value Demonstration, Market Access & Pricing (GVAP) organization that focuses on readiness for value assessment and patient access across the product lifecycle.
With leadership from the Vice President and Head, Oncology, Global Value Demonstration the Regional Value Demonstration Director - Oncology (Europe) will collaborate with local, regional, and global to ensure alignment of strategy across geographies.
You will:
- Identify data gaps and aggregate regional requirements to inform value demonstration strategies.
- Remain abreast of regional HTA policies and provide strategic analysis of potential implications on the business.
- Disseminate Value Strategy Team (VaST) insights within the region.
- review health technology assessment (HTA) pre-submission strategy, data requirements, and submissions.
- Independently lead regional training and implementation of GVD deliverables
- Lead regional HTA Rapid Response Team and be accountable for the delivery & closure of responses.
- Assess “strategic fit” of country-specific evidence generation plans, non-interventional studies, and health economic modelling in the region; provide guidance on all research activities related to evidence-based comparative value management.
- Lead and execute evidence generation activities for the region where appropriate to ensure competitive, comparative value management to support value-based decision-making for oncology marketed brands.
In this role you will bring strategic leadership, scientific expertise, organizational savvy, and advanced communication skills. You will work in cross-functional matrix teams, in collaboration with global, regional, and local internal stakeholders such as: Medical Affairs, Market Access & Pricing, and Government Affairs & Policy and with external vendors, academic researchers, and health care practitioners. As appropriate, you will establish strategic external collaborations and partnerships.
You possess an understanding of different stakeholder and payer archetypes and the technical proficiency in health economics and outcomes research methods to appropriate apply them to business challenges. You will lead and advise for strategic and technical impact and disseminate research through scientific communications, inclusive of congresses, publications, presentations to internal and external audiences, and training of internal stakeholders.
Who you Are:
- Related degree and work experience
- Masters or PhD in public health, health services research, health economics and outcomes research, or related research or analytic fields such as statistics or economics strongly preferred.
- Proven experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Strong background with hands-on experience in consulting, health insurance, payer authority, payer research institute, or other relevant settings
- European experience required.
- HTA experience required.
- Ability to manage consensus at various levels and cultivate strategic internal relationships across the organization.
- Ability to anticipate issues/needs and work proactively to address.
- Strong conceptual, methodological, and analytical skills. Previous experience in one or more core competencies is required (e.g., economic modelling, evidence synthesis, patient reported outcomes, real-world evidence, or reimbursement dossier preparation)
- Ability to confidently interact and effectively communicate impactfully within teams and across functions, cultures, and geographies.
- Strong publication record in health economics.
- Experience in oncology desirable.
This position can be based within the U.S. Europe or remotely.
