Service Delivery Manager - SAM

 

Join us as Service Delivery Manager for Software Asset Management (SAM)! As this you will be part of our Software Asset Management Team within the global IT Service Management Organization. 

 

You design and implement our strategic SAM Architecture and SAM Processes. Furthermore, you drive automation as well as continuous improvements. In addition, you optimize license usage and associated costs.  

In this role you are responsible for the support and request chain and work continuously on improving the SAM Service. You have regular contacts to internal customers, manage incidents, requests, changes as well as Service Outages. In addition, you make sure, that the service meets the agreed SLA level and an appropriate reporting about defined KPIs is available. Here you collaborate closely with the assigned Service Owner. Furthermore, you manage Audit cases professionally. You ensure close alignment with our Product License Managers, Service Delivery Units, IT Governance, Legal as well as Procurement and track and trace performance of the SAM Application. 

 

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science (or equivalent degree)  

  • Proven 8+ year experience in working in Information Technology / SAM Management. SAM certifications are a plus (e.g., IAITAM, CSAM) 

  • In-depth experience with License Management tools – experienced with USU License Manager or ServiceNow License Manager is a plus 

  • Able to drive Life-Cycle Management activities of IT assets 

  • Experienced with different license metrics as well as license usage rights 

  • Able to identify cost saving potentials including Contract Analysis 

  • Experienced in participating and supporting Compliance Audits 

  • Able to create procedural instructions or working instructions. Strong knowledge in ITIL oriented processes  

  • IT Service Management knowledge as well as experience with large Cloud service-based consumption models and associated tools (e.g., ServiceNow IT Service Management) is a plus 

  • You have a "can do" attitude and welcome new challenges. You like working on multiple tasks in parallel and are ready to take on responsibility from day one 

  • You are an excellent team player who takes accountability and thinks cross functional 

  • Excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is a must.
