The new structure of the ISCO organization was designed with this optimization in mind by elevating Operational Excellence to its own role on the Leadership Team. This organization will provide a systemic approach to bring our continuous improvement to the next level with high impact on agility, reliability, yield and productivity. This Operational Excellence will now be called ISCO Excellence, with an intent to work beyond the scope of manufacturing and project execution, looking at capabilities, execution and governance in a more holistic way across our business.
Your Role
Responsibilities:
The Head of Head of ISCO Excellence Execution, LSS (Life Science Services) is a core member of the LSS Site Operations, with responsibility to transform and implement best practices though seamless execution of strategic local and global projects. They will lead the deployment of the global operations strategy and Operating Model across all LSS manufacturing sites.
- Strategic Impact: Acts as the partner to the Head of LSS Technical operations and LSS Site Heads, partnering with them to stimulate and steer all OpEx initiatives (i.e. topics such as LSS Operations Strategy, Performance Management, LSS Excellence Portfolio Management, scorecard application together with the LSS Business Performance Team); drives technology improvements together with the Head of LSS Technology & Innovation, building and implementing the Improvement roadmap at site level; Supports optimizing the internal supply network ; Actively involved in operative planning process, defining improvement projects together with the LSS Operations LT which are aligned with LSS business and LSS operations strategies and priorities
- Capabilities and Programs: Leads the capability building together with the Head of LSS Technical Operations via deployment of the transformational programs and rapid adoption of proven practices; Ensures flawless roll out and execution at site level of core programs and initiatives; Liaise with the Head of LSS Technical Operations and the rest of the LSS Operations LT to transform culture while achieving milestones and deliverables in performance metrics; Facilitates and coaches improvement teams
- Operational Excellence Portfolio Management: Collaborates strongly with the Life Science Production System team for best practice sharing & process improvement idea sharing, while leading the deployment of the Production System across LSS sites; defines governance of the scorecards that are quantitative and qualitative assessments of OPEX effectiveness at sites together with LSS stakeholders; Works with LSS Business Performance and the Head of LSS Technical Operations to perform data analytics to deliver deeper insights into performance, driving efficiency and real time decision making; leads meetings with LSS Global Leadership teams to review and examine project progress while working closely with LSS Operations Finance and LSS Business Performance to track budgets vs actual performance
Scope of People Responsibility: Direct leadership and management of a team of OPEX managers across LSS sites with indirect leadership of broader Continuous Improvement community
Who You are
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: BsC Industrial engineering/ Engineering /supply chain / business administration; Black belt accreditation
- 8+ years experience in leading operations, has led manufacturing sites (i.e. as a Site Head or led cross-functional teams at sites)
- Worked in a matrix organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise with the LS service business (CDMO) preferred
- demonstrated experience in implementing improvement initiatives with impactful results
- lean 6 Sigma experience
- Has built cultural acumen through work experience globally
- Strategic minded while having the ability to focus on the critical actions
- Highly influential and able to sell ideas and approaches
- Solid coaching and mentoring competency
- Able to influence change without direct authority
