Your Role:
At Millipore Sigma, the role will manage capital projects for the St. Louis engineering group.
- Develop and implement engineering solutions to internal customer problems and opportunities.
- Provide end-to-end project management on small to medium capital projects from initiation through project closure that includes documentation using project management models as described in the PMBOK.
- Works closely with external architectural and/or engineering firms.
- Obtain necessary building or occupancy permits.
- Develop project requirements, schedules and final project costs.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Procure necessary contractors, materials, and equipment to support projects.
- Domestic travel of 5% to attend seminars, conferences and training within North America to maintain and expand technical expertise.
- Support departmental process improvement efforts based on annual objectives.
- Read and interpret internal and external regulatory agencies’ policies, codes, standards and regulations.
- Work closely with site EHS, Quality and Mechanical Integrity to develop engineering solutions.
- Create or manage the creation of engineering/construction bid packages.
- Manage field construction work in support of projects.
- Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30 PM
Who You Are:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2+ years' of project management or engineering experience within a Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or manufacturing facility
- OR
- High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years' of project management or engineering experience within a Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or manufacturing facility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Good financial accumen of project/program management
- Ability to communicate using excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with best practices of maintenance and reliability
- Experience with engineering systems; process engineering, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, etc
- Working knowledge of GMP and PSM standards
- Self-motivated, responsible and team orientated individual
