Your Role:

Based on a deep Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) as well as Formulation expertise, you will take on the global strategic marketing management of our lipids custom manufacturing services for drug delivery, focusing more specifically on synthetic lipids and lipid-based formulations. You will utilize deep knowledge of global market dynamics, customer needs and business opportunities in the lipids business, to drive the strategy development and market intelligence activities and implement mid- and long-term strategies. Strategic positioning of the offering incl. strategic pricing will be an additional key task of this role. A strong focus will be on an active portfolio development and life cycle management, including initiation of new product/services developments and launches. You will drive the preparation of business cases of strategic investments incl. market, competitor, and customer analyses. Your responsibility will include preparation and roll-out of marketing collaterals, as well as being a key driver around customer facing projects, which includes the preparation and execution of internal and external specialist trainings, external webinars, and whitepapers.

Further, our lipids offering is closely linked to our Lipid Nanoparticles (LNP) as well as mRNA manufacturing services and capabilities which will provide you the opportunity to collaborate in global teams across multiple sites and geographies along our integrated mRNA-LNP value chain offering.

Interactive cooperation with Senior Management, R&D, Commercial, Sales Planning, for the execution of your tasks, as well as global and regional marketing activities will be a key component of this role. This role also requires strong interfaces with multiple other functions within the organization (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Operations, Quality & Regulatory, and Finance).

Who you are:

• Master’s degree and PhD in natural sciences preferred – e.g., Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, additional degree in Business Administration, MBA as a plus
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the CDMO industry, preferentially in the fields of lipid synthesis / LNP formulation / drug delivery / drug targeting
• Experience working with international clients is essential, ability to negotiate in English, willingness for international travel up to 30%
• Personal strengths include communication and presentation skills
• You should be assertive, well organized, collaborative and have strong decision-making skills
• High motivation and passion to discover solutions to all kinds of exciting challenges
• Experience using professional IT tools required (e.g., MS Office, Tableau)
