Your Role

The Manufacturing Technician 4 position will work in a cleanroom environment and follow cGMP batch records and SOPs to manufacture viral vector products at the Carlsbad CA site. The employee will support projects in conjunction with other GMP Manufacturing personnel (Supervisors, Managers). 


The Manufacturing Fill/Finish Technician 4 will assist in coordinating and will participate in the execution of all phases and facets of drug product formulation, fill, visual inspection, and labeling. This will include requesting materials, setup of suites and equipment, preparation of materials, final filtration and formulation, filling vials inside a Grade A Biological Safety Cabinet or in an isolator with an automated filling machine or with a semi-automated pump, labeling, visual inspection, document review, and documentation of any events. This role may also assist with any manufacturing role as needed including buffer/media prep, cell culture, or downstream operations. 


Physical Attributions

Ability to perform moderate physical activity such as sitting/standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds


Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Science field
  • 4+ years of experience in formulation/fill operations and visual inspection and labeling operations
  • 4+ years of experience working in a cGMP/GDP environment
  • 4+ years of experience with aseptic operation in a BSC/LFH (biosafety cabinet, laminar flow hood) and experience with sterile filtration
  • 4+ years of experience basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and production systems
  • 4+ years of experience in compliance with safety guidelines
  • 3+ years of experience drafting and revising Standard Operating Procedures or Batch Records



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of biology and chemistry
  • Experience with automated filling in an isolator highly
  • Experience with Project Planning and Scheduling
  • Experience with Technical Writing
  • Experience with preparation and filtration of media and buffers
  • Ability to perform very complex tasks with attention to detail
  • Able to work well in a group, and communicate well with all levels of the operations team


Pay Range for this Position- $42,300- $98,700
