Your Role:

In the Operations Supervisor - Warehousing and Inventory Control role, you will be supervising the bulk warehouse operations, including DOT drivers, as well as the Bulk Inventory Control team. You will supervise the warehousing and transport of bulk chemicals, finished goods and custom packaged hazardous chemical products in compliance with all company operating procedures and governmental regulations (ISO, GMP, OSHA, DEA, DOT, CFR, IATA, IMO, etc.). You will supervise the bulk Inventory Control group and their functions, including monitoring of inventory buckets, problem resolution, audit reconciliation and support of operations. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with Packaging, Sales & Marketing, Packaging Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Compliance to resolve both product and customer concerns.
  • Lead process improvement activities resulting in safety, quality, productivity, and cost saving improvements.
  • Participate in talent selection process.
  • Engage in performance management and accountability discussions to develop and retain employees
  • Represent department during internal and external audits and respond to Corrective Action requests (internal and external customers) within designated timeframe.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Natural Science discipline, OR Operations Management, Finance, or other Business discipline


  • 4+ years of work experience in the life science industry
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
  • High School Diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills with all levels of staff, both verbal and written
  • Chemical manufacturing or quality control experience
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge with newer versions and implementations of SAP 
  • Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational ability
  • Proficient at Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Access, and Word
