Technical Application Consultant - Investment Projects f/m

Your role :
Within the Process Solutions sales organization, you are part of the customer applications team responsible for the system portfolio.
As part of this team, you leverage your technical expertise in upstream and downstream processing to effectively drive sales. You contribute to the EMEA Customer Applications Systems budget with the goal of meeting or exceeding the annual target for your assigned territory (yet to be confirmed but partial coverage of Nordics, Eastern Europe and / or Germany). Based on current industry trends, including CAPEX investment projects, and an appreciation of competitive dynamics, you identify opportunities to gain market share and grow the business. You understand the project phases (design, basic design, detailed design) in order to create value for the customer by leveraging our product and service portfolio. You are partner with account managers and the rest of the sales teams to develop technology driven strategies for your regions and territories. You plan, organize, coordinate and monitor the tactical plan in line with the strategic marketing plan for the respective franchises, i.e Bioprocess Systems. You are responsible for the development and management of new business opportunities, in collaboration with sales and customer application partners, while ensuring that our expertise is promoted to customers. You will actively seek out and evaluate new project opportunities, while qualifying prospects, promoting our capabilities. As the driver of the opportunity, you lead the negotiation with the account manager, involving the legal department and your manager. You manage the successful introduction of new products and programs while participating in product positioning and sales strategy. You identify the needs and potentials of the customer. You participate in various training programs and seminars for the technical team and the sales force in order to achieve and maintain the required level of product, application and service knowledge. Finally, you build relationships and networks with industry decision makers and thought leaders who can facilitate the development of the systems market, especially with A&E.
Who you are:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering (A&E) company and/or plant/process engineering team and/or selling products/services to the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven experience in single-use component manufacturing and consulting sales is highly desirable.
- Good presentation, excellent communication skills, both oral and written and negotiation skills (dynamic approach to challenges).
- Efficiency to work across boundaries and functions, with the ability to work effectively internationally.
- Self-starter, excellent organizational and project management skills
- Willingness to travel
- Fluency in English. Other languages, notably German, a plus
