Your role:

You are a Cloud / DevOps engineer, eager to work on solutions that help scientists in laboratories around the world transition to a more digital way of working.

As a Cloud / DevOps engineer, you will join a team of highly skilled engineers creating cutting-edge digital products in the laboratory informatics space. The products you will be working on help scientists to manage their inventories and focus on the science. Your position includes configuring and operating the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for solutions based on a scalable microservices architecture. You will also be responsible for maintaining monitoring and reporting systems both for the CI/CD pipeline and product Dev/QA/Prod deployments.

You'll be working as part of a highly engaged international team in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment using latest technologies with the opportunity to learn something new every day.


Who you are:

• University degree in Computer Science or comparable and experience with the architecture, deployment and maintenance of distributed systems

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux, networking, scripting (bash / python), and container technologies, i.e., Docker/Podman, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Helm

• Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools for Continuous Integration/Deployment, e.g., GitLab, GitLab CI, Harbor, Artifactory, Kaniko, Crane, etc.

• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, in particular: IAM, VPC, Cognito, EC2, S3, ECR, EKS, AuroraDB, CloudWatch, AWS CLI

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC), e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation

• Experience with monitoring and log aggregation, e.g., AWS CloudWatch or Prometheus/Grafana

• Experience with Tencent is nice to have

• Experience with Windows administration and WSL is nice to have

• Experience with authentication/authorization, e.g., AD, Azure AD, SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect is nice to have

• Fluent English is required, German language skills are a plus

• A team player, always eager to learn and share new skills and technologies
