Your Role:  

At MilliporeSigma, the Off - Shift Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all elements of the plant remain operational during the shift.  You will be exposed to all elements of facility operations including plumbing, HVAC, water systems, fire alarms and suppression, general facility maintenance and electrical.  You will be trained on all elements related to this role and be expected to provide performance maintenance, adjustments, repairs, testing and replacement of various types of mechanical equipment as required at the site. This includes all preventative and predicative maintenance.

  • Work closely with contractors that are utilized to perform facility maintenance activities at the site.
  • Utilize our local Building Management System (BMS) to remotely monitor and adjust setpoints and operational settings.
  • This role will also have on-call responsibilities in a four-week rotation with other members of the facility team.  This is an off-shift position. The selected individual can create a schedule working Monday – Friday, between the hours of 3pm – 7 am, 40-hours per week.
  • Overtime can be expected for emergency situations.


Physical Attributes: 

Lift 50+ lbs safely.


Who you are: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of maintenance/trade experience.


  • Mechanical or Maintenance certification or degree from a trade school and 2+ years’ experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Certification.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Comfort working independently.
  • Possess a good sense of how to perform your job safely.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
