Location:

  • The preferred location for this role is Savannah, GA or Philadelphia, PA, but it can also be located at any of our other US locations with travel required to meet with key partners.

 

Your Role:

The Regulatory Services Manager in Quality Services at Surface Solutions for a Quality provides complete and timely support to our customers on a global basis for Regulatory and Quality related inquiries.  The Regulatory Services Manager is considered the Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing in-depth knowledge on a wide range of Regulatory and Quality topics.  Focusing on customer-related questions concerning Regulatory, Quality and Manufacturing and partnering with cross functional teams to deliver answers to our customers.  This role will work in cross-functional teams in a global environment and is able to be comfortable translating and conveying complex regulatory topics to internal and external stakeholders.  Additionally, this position will look for lean and efficient solutions, especially of a digital nature.

 

Who you are:

  • To assess the incoming inquiries from Customer Facing Team and provide a response that may be shared with the customer based on available documentation and information.
  • To coordinate with cross functional teams the assessment and preparation of a response to the Customer Facing Team.
  • To lead/participate in discussions with cross-functional teams on the company’s regulatory and quality position on customer relevant topics.
  • To support the CIDS platform by acting as one of the Business Administrators and support colleagues in access and navigation in the system
  • Reading and assessing draft regulations for business impact and working with cross-functional business partners to comment on proposed regulations.
  • Providing advice and regulatory interpretations to co-workers in other regulatory areas, quality, and production.
  • To set-up, organize and lead limited Regulatory-Quality related projects

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Chemistry or other natural science degree is required.
  • Knowledge of chemical regulations such as TSCA, FIFRA, USDA, OSHA, PFAS, CONEG, and State regulations such as Proposition 65 are required.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are required
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and regions is also required.
  • There is a 5% travel expectation for this role, both domestic and international travel.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree, Masters or PhD is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with a global organization is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Conflict Minerals, Food Contact, RSPO highly preferred
