Your role:

This position is dedicated to a greenfield construction project for the manufacturing of specialised chemistry Specialty Gases, Thin Film and DC Warehouse for the semiconductor industry.

The location is Shanghai with the possibility for part time or short period site work assignment in project site Zhang Jiagang, specially in the beginning of the assignment.

 

Key tasks include:

  • Manage the following functions
    • Cost estimation, cost-control
    • Contract change order review and negotiate
    • Cost and progress reporting
    • Schedule management
    • Government liaison (together with EHS)
    • Document management
  • Interface with
    • financial controlling
    • finance
    • procurement
    • Project managers of all disciplines
  • Approval of invoices and purchase orders with the Subproject Lead or Project Led
  • For the duration of RedOx project the PMO head will lead approx. 3 – 5 people in “dotted” line. On smaller project the PMO head is expected to be able to handle all related tasks without support.

 

Who are you:

      • > 15 years either in project controlling or management 
      • Aspects of capital/project budget development, risk analysis; cash flow/trending, cost estimating & control, and invoicing/claims management, auditing and compliance during EPCm phases.
      • Excellent project management capabilities
      • Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
      • Strong decision making
      • Affinity to work with documents
      • Passion for working in an international environment with global peers
      • Ability to navigate financial systems and tools (SAP, TM1 experience preferred)
      • Familiar with scheduling software such as primavera or MS Project
      • Advanced interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
      • Preferable: first leadership experience either in line or project management
      • Ability to work under time pressure
    • In all points - represents and lives the values in each and every aspect and acting as a role model for his/her team.

 

Preferred qualification

      • Bachelor or master degree required (project cost engineering, project management or a related engineering discipline such as process engineering, civil engineering, architectural engineering…)
      • Experience with brown-field / green field construction projects; preferable manufacturing
      • Experience in working in multinational companies and cross-functional matrix organizations; international exposure.
      • English and Chinese mandatory;
      • Preferable Project Management certification such as PMP
      • Preferable familiar with EVM Methodology
