Your Role: As our Enterprise Data Architect - Sustainability, you are helping lay the foundation of our data platform supporting the company’s group-wide sustainability reporting & steering. You bring technical and functional leadership in Analytics and Data Management to our initiative by developing a comprehensive data architecture, thereby unifying our various sector applications & routines in a shared data model. Whether it’s CO2 emissions, energy consumptions or waste management, you collaborate closely with our stakeholders and experts in our sustainability teams and sector data offices to translate use cases & transparency requirements into effective, scalable, and agile solutions and a sustainable application and data landscape.
You work as part of our Data Office – Group Functions in our Swarm organization. The mission of the group is to architect, design and refine analytics solutions that deliver practical and effective answers to business problems. You identify, catalog, and integrate both internal and external data sets and connect data across functions & sectors to accelerate analytics at the company. You work closely with IT to transform data generating processes at the source, effectively automate and industrialize data feeds, making them available in a future and audit-proof application landscape for reporting & business steering. 
You mentor colleagues and help build overall knowledge and capabilities across the group for effectively sourcing and integrating data sets using strategic technologies. You actively participate in a network of analytics peers across the company to learn, share and collaborate, thereby strengthening the overall depth of analytic capabilities.

Who you are:

  • Master’s degree, ideally in either Information Technology, or Business Administration
  • Strong interest in sustainability and drive to embed sustainability considerations and critical metrics at the core of our data generating processes enabling current and preparing future requirements for reporting, compliance and business steering.
  • Experience with Finance, Procurement and/or Supply Chain Processes, underlying datasets and related internal and external corporate reporting needs. Understanding of audited or validated end-to-end reporting routines, from individual transaction in the ERP to global corporate solutions.
  • Experienced in high impact projects in a fast paced matrix organization. Track record of establishing large-scale applications bringing together diverse business requirements in a scalable solution.
  • 5 -10 years hands-on implementation experience with technologies used for data modeling, data architecture, data integration and analytics. (e.g. SAP BW/HANA, SQL, Hadoop, Hive, ETL, AI, Machine Learning) interfacing closely to ERP technologies (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Scala)
  • Experience with Analytics and Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikSense, SAP Analytics Cloud)
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively across global agile product teams on all levels, from executive board to domain expert
  • Comfortable interacting with both technical & non-technical audiences across the organization
  • Proactive with a collaborative attitude, outcome focused and solution oriented
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities (investigation of complex business challenges and formulation of efficient and practical solution)
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication
