Your Role:

The purpose of the Field Based Key Account Manager role is to develop sales within the portfolio and in the assigned territory, to help achieve quarterly and annual targets through remote selling activities. Develop and implement yearly territory plan aiming to drive growth in the territory while building and maintain relationships with the assigned customers.

 

  • Perform proactive outbound telephone calls
  • Attend exhibitions and do occasional customer visits (approximately 10 to 20% of time)
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities in assigned accounts and drive commercial actions aiming to convert them to sales.
  • Promote and introduce to customers our Life Science portfolio, in collaboration with the field sales specialists where vital.
  • Report the calls and opportunities in the relevant CRM (SFDC) and manage and update the records
  • Send and follow-up quotes, contracts & tenders.
  • Implements promotional campaigns at the accounts in the assigned territory, in line with the segment focus topics and marketing plans
  • Maintain detailed customer records in the relevant databases (i.e. SFDC), to ensure that the relevant mailing list and database reflects this information.
  • Support manager in forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with field marketing, field sales specialists and customer excellence teams to ensure the best service to customers and optimize growth opportunities.

Who You Are:

  • Sales Experience or Sales Support Experience in the Life Science arena.
  • University background is valuable although not vital.
  • Some scientific background is vital to quickly acquire good knowledge of our products and applications.
  • Highly motivated by a sales, customer and results focused.
  • The Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Excellent selling skills in a driven environment.
  • Excellent time management and self-organization skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, and presentations skills.
