Your Role

We are seeking an Analytical Chemist/Engineer to develop and implement online analytical systems at specialty gas facilities. The role involves working closely with engineering, vendors, and outside contractors to design, oversee construction and lead the startup of online and automated analytical systems in specialty gas production facilities. The position will be based at the company’s Specialty Gases facility in Hometown, PA, but will provide support to Global production sites. Great communications skills and the ability to work well in a multi-regional, multi-cultural environment and across multiple time zones are required.

Who You Are:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field AND 3+ years of analytical experience
  • Technical understanding of fundamental analytical chemistry
  • Experience with analyzing trace impurities using Gas Chromatography and /or Spectroscopy
  • Experience in implementing on-line analytical system in production plants
  • Excellent social skills that support a diverse team environment
  • Good organizational skills and strong verbal and written communications
  • Capable of carrying out team and self-directed projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry or related field AND 2+ years of analytical experience
  • Experience in automation of analytical systems
  • Experience with analyzing specialty gases
  • Experience in analytical method development
  • Initiative and self-motivation
  • Strong fundamentals and practical experience in the use of statistics
