Your Role:

The role of Maintenance and Engineering Team Coordinator is to support the company preventive and repair maintenance programs utilizing the CMMS (SAP) equipment database, develop and implement a spare parts inventory program, track, and schedule internal and external contract maintenance resources (labor, materials, and equipment), and assist the maintenance and engineering teams with site improvement projects.   The position will identify and track metrics for generation of reports to assist management in making decisions on facility operational uptime, resource utilization, department budget, and future investment (capital spending).

Individual excels working in a team role and sees the value in development and adherence to a planned maintenance schedule.  Highly capable to adapt as priorities change and offers individual solutions to meet these demands. This position will have a major role in the rationalizing and updating of maintenance tasks in the CMMS. You will be accountable for successful coordination with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations Management to deliver a consolidated maintenance plan.

 

  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to develop integrated operation and maintenance schedules.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance/calibration activities, labor, and resources in CMMS to maximize equipment uptime and minimize impact to manufacturing operations.
  • Plan and kit required materials, instructional documents, and specialty tools for schedule maintenance activities.  Purchase material as needed.
  • Escalate any issues impacting Maintenance Plan adherence (a key KPI) and perform Problem Solving and RCA to proactively resolve issues and develop options.
  • Formulate action plans to correct systemic issues impacting Maintenance Plan execution. Coordinate Planning activities with maintenance engineers, mechanics, and operations personnel.
  • Assist in management and implementation of CAPAs related to maintenance processes.
  • Track and update key maintenance performance metrics in close coordination with Reliability engineer.
  • Conduct Non-Routine work order backlog meetings.
  • Generate key metrics reports as required.
  • Update PM tasks and Schedules in CMMS to effectively balance the workload.
  • Provide direction to the maintenance team as needed.
  • Participate in SOP updating and development.
  • Coordinate internal staff as well as external contract labor.
  • Assist maintenance team executing field tasks as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED AND 8+ years’ pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience

OR

  • Associates degree AND 2+ years of manufacturing industry experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years Pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated industry experience.
  • Technical training Certifications relevant to position or other higher-level education.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Microsoft Suite of Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Power Point).
  • Background on equipment preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability and failure modes, efficiency metrics a plus; Strong background of Maintenance Planning.
  • SAP CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot systems in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to plan and organize daily tasks.
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral) to interface across management levels and departments.
