Job Details

We are looking for a working student to build up our local data management from 1 July 2022. Together with our Data Manager you will take care of the upcoming data governance topics, from the definition of a framework to hands-on data steward tasks around our local data in the Merck Data Ecosystem (palantir-based). As part of the Data Management & Customer Engagement Ecosystems team, you will work in Business Operations Healthcare Germany, the local pharmaceutical sales organisation of Merck KGaA. In addition to interfaces with our local business stakeholders, you will also work closely with our global data experts and be able to network there.


Who you are

  • Student, preferably Data Science, (Business) Informatics, Mathematics or similar data-oriented courses of study.
  • MS Excel and ideally experience with reporting tools such as QlikView, Tableau or Power BI
  • Initial experience in the creation and maintenance of data catalogues, implementation and maintenance of databases, data warehouses or the like
  • Very good analytical skills
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python (Pandas, PySpark) or with Salesforce is a plus
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Power Automate, Sharepoint)
  • Diligence and high quality standards in your own work
  • Pragmatism and efficiency
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English
