Your Role:

Within the Life Science Biology organization and Cell & General Workflow Tools franchise, this role acts as Product Manager for the Screening Tools portfolio.  The position is an office-based role located in Burlington (MA), or Temecula (CA) locations. Travel 25%-30%. Responsibilities include:

 

Execution of portfolio strategy & direction

  • Manage large diverse microplate portfolio with high growth
  • Identify priority opportunities across workflows and customer segments – Specifically within Pharma, Biotech, Diagnostic and Testing markets.

Optimization of portfolio positioning and go-to-market tactics

  • Defines product and workflow messaging and positioning for key applications and product types across all platforms and channels,
  • Partner with Commercial colleagues, Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing.

Key account support and pipeline development

  • Ensure optimal service and support to existing global strategic accounts
  • Identify and nurture new large opportunities

Portfolio expansion and innovation

  • Provides product definition, product features, performance requirements and trade-offs, product value proposition and reason for new product development
  • Act as business lead within cross-functional team on all relevant projects with focus on project scoping and planning, management and execution of critical activities, and accountability for driving/ influencing appropriate decision-making.

Critical marketing activities

  • Oversees consistent support and execution for all product related initiatives from commercial, supply chain, legal and others in collaboration with PM Operations, and provides appropriate answers and solutions, in collaboration with all other internal functions.
  • Engage with manufacturing and operations to ensure business success.  Develop familiarity with complex, large scale, automated production processes.
  • Conduct regular analysis of portfolio pricing, including price position vs competition and across geographies, pricing structure, and ongoing monitoring of profitability impact

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the Laboratory & Life Science market
  • Bachelor’s Degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or Scientific field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.Sc., MBA, or PhD
  • Demonstrated capability reading technology and market trends, and strategically planning future product opportunities
  • Experience working across organizational lines to translate market trends and opportunities into financial business plans
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an organization by promoting competency development and inspiring others
