Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Maintenance Technician 3 will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and repairs of manufacturing equipment in the Danvers operations. This is a multi-skilled position that can complete work orders that cross over traditional disciplines. 

  • Maintain, install and changeover equipment, perform scheduled maintenance.
  • Provide leadership, expertise, and training to other department members. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair Mobius manual, and automated and semi-auto equipment.
  • Perform corrective, proactive and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Complete assigned work orders.
  • Participate in the call-in projects/meeting.
  • Complete training curriculums.

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, in a moderately loud environment.
  • Wear a mask, safety shoes, cleanroom gowning suit, protective gloves, safety glasses and/or goggles on occasion.

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in a maintenance, manufacturing, production, treatment facility, or related environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related Mechanical discipline
  • Trade School degree/certification in HVAC
  • Certification in repairs & maintenance
  • Use the Management of Change Process effectively and good documentation practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Generate and lead process improvements
  • Organizational and 5S skills and leadership skills, self-motivation, high productivity, take direction and meet deadlines
  • Use basic PC software (windows, word, Excel, email) and CMMS software
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, basic shop tools; read gauges and understand units of measure; precision measuring equipment (caliper, gauges, etc.)
  • Make decisions and resolve problems (analyze alternatives, evaluate risks, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot, design, install and maintain electrical power and control circuits up to 480V
  • Understand Ohm's law, AC/DC, Parallel and Series circuits, Industrial Electricity and electrical safety (grounding, arc flash, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot electrical motors, repairs, installation, instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature, etc.), repair fluid and vacuum pumps
  • Engineering Support of projects, equipment moves, new equipment validation and existing equipment validation
