Your Role:

We are seeking a Device Development Senior Technician to work within MilliporeSigma Process Solutions Filtration R&D.  This person will split time between Bedford, MA & Jaffrey, NH campus per project needs. As part of our R&D organization, the successful candidate will help develop novel products used to process and purify biopharmaceutical products.  He/she will work closely with R&D and manufacturing engineers/scientists to execute experiments, perform basic troubleshooting, and deliver quality results with minimal supervision.  Expertise in operating Pilot scale equipment and participate in technology transfer to Manufacturing facilities is expected.  Position requires an ability and curiosity to continuously learn new equipment, methods, and materials.  


Physical Attributes: 

  •  Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unaided and 25-100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering controls.


 Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 5+ years of technical experience  


  • Associates Degree in engineering or science, with 2+ years of experience in a technical area
  • 1+ years of experience with automated manufacturing equipment operation
  • 1+ years of hands-on working experience in R&D and/or laboratory environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in roll-to-roll processing and web handling
  • Experience with injection molding of plastics
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to follow written procedures and protocols using good laboratory habits
  • Timely and accurate data entry to electronic lab notebook per project needs.
