Your Role:

  • The Data Steward, Systems Process Specialist and Administrative Coordinator is responsible for establishing the Data Steward concept in EMD Serono Canada, enabling the long-term management of recipient master data and a clean data environment

  • The Data Steward, Systems Process Specialist and Administrative Coordinator is also tasked to contribute to a successful local transition to a centralized procurement organization

  • The Data Steward, Systems Process Specialist and Administrative Coordinator is also responsible for providing tactical, and administrative support to various departments in EMD Serono Canada

Establishing data stewardship

  • Creating a local protocol that facilitates the creation of HCP/HCO/PO recipient records in MDG-S and VEEVA CRM.

  • Designing and building a local data quality check process to ensure entered data is consistent, accurate and ready-for-use.

  • Educating colleagues on new processes and providing change management support.

Supporting procurement transition 

  • Constructing a standalone onboarding curriculum for new hires that includes a step-by-step resource focused on gaining SAP access, general procurement guidelines, vendor creation and corporate card programs.   

  • Entrenching procurement basics and good practices at the management level.

General

  • Contributing to the enhancement of the Operational Excellence team by participating in key meetings, developing and sharing knowledge and supporting department workload priorities whenever possible.  

  • Respecting and adhering to ethical/legal/regulatory/company guidelines.

Administrative

  • Assist various departments at EMD Serono Canada in liaising and supporting customers, managing requests, monitoring and reporting on performance, and day-to-day operations

  • Working with internal colleagues and external vendors on operations, logistics, oversight and management to ensure EMD Serono Canada business objectives are met

  • Ensuring meetings are held in a professional and effective manner, planning activities, audio visual, business needs, etc.

  • Completing other responsibilities as required

 

 

Who You Are:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Fluent in English

  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Procurement/Procurement Systems

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • French language an asset

  • Experience working in an office environment in an administrative capacity preferred

  • Procurement qualifications are an asset

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong analytical ability 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (advanced functionality) and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter, minimal supervision, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible team environment

  • Ability to influence teams without authority

  • Strong prioritization and negotiation skills
