Your Role: 

At MilliporeSigma, the Process Development Scientist reports to the Bioconjugaton Manager in contract manufacturing sector. The Process Development Scientist will work in the Process and Analytical Development department to develop process chemistry for transfer to GMP manufacturing.

The position will center around development/optimization, development scale-up campaigns and technology transfer designed to deliver robust and cost-effective production processes to GMP manufacturing.

 

  • Work with a team of bioprocess and bioanalytical scientists to develop Bioconjugation process chemistry.
  • Leverage experience in bioconjugation chemistry to on-board/develop, optimize, and scale-up process chemistry unit operations.
  • Effectively work with key stakeholders to technology transfer time-sensitive production processes to GMP manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot process non-conformances and deliver data-driven solutions.

 

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or other related Scientific discipline

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ Experience in bioconjugation chemistry development and optimization, including the use of Design of Experiments
  • 3+ years’ Experience with ADC development and purification on a preparative scale
  • Experience with PAT
  • Attention to detail in planning, execution, and documentation of experimental work
  • Exemplary communication skills including timely and concise written and oral communications to both external and internal project stakeholders
  • Willing to work occasional extended days and weekend shifts for special projects
