Your role: You will be responsible to provide an integrated and seamless experience to patients within an assigned territory by providing in home education and injection training as well as on-going follow-up and support via phone. You will support and develop relationships with healthcare professionals and clinics within the territory to promote the services of patient services support programs. Your patient education and teaching will encompass general disease information, product information, device demonstration and troubleshooting, manual injection, knowledge of side effect management as well as basic reimbursement understanding for identifying patient needs.

 

You will be responsible for scheduling education training sessions with patients, working remotely in call centre for assigned shifts, and completing visit report documents, adverse events, filing complaints and forwarding to head office and prescribing physician. You will complete charting into patient database required for daily activities on a timely basis and reporting purposes and have routine rotational pager duty for after-hours emergency calls which may include the office closure between Christmas and New Year's in accordance with the EMD Company Policy entitled Pager Remuneration.

 

Who you are: You are someone with a BScN or college Nursing program Diploma with a nursing license in good standing in Ontario. You have more than three years clinical nursing experience in community settings and have flexibility of working hours required for day, evening and occasional weekend work. You have excellent time management and prioritization skills, are self-motivated with ability to multi-task and are to work independently and as a team member while based remotely.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BScN or College Nursing program diploma
  • Nursing License in good standing in Ontario
  • 3+ years clinical nursing experience in field and hospital settings

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English/French both written and spoken, is considered a strong asset
  • Up to 40% Traveling requirements in the territory assigned
  • Proficiency with Motivational Interviewing techniques preferred
  • Computer proficiency in MS office Products Learning new computer programs/databases will be required
  • Clean drivers abstract and must own car
  • An appropriate office space (home based) that can accommodate any technical equipment and internet ready
