You will be part of a lab team with the focus on ICP-MS determination of inorganic impurities at trace levels. This method is used to analyze new organic light emitting diode (OLED) materials or liquid crystals. The candidates will take part in “routine” investigations as well as optimization and evaluation of new analytical procedures and methods. The internship takes place in the Central Analytical Services Department.
Our department offers analytical services to internal customers at the company in particular for R&D. One of these services is the characterization and analysis of high tech materials for display and lighting applications based on OLEDs or liquid crystals. Different analytical methods are in use to test the material purity and detect impurities. Our services include the improvement of analytical procedures and routine measurements as well.
Who you are:
• Student (m/f) of Chemistry or Analytical Sciences
• Collaborative; Results-driven
• Broad knowledge of instrumental analytical methods and computer skills
• Very good organizational and communication skills
• German and/or English (excellent knowledge spoken and written)
• Fast learner with organizational talent and strong team player
Duration: 9-12 months fulltime, Start: Spring/Summer 2020
