The Manager/Sr. Manager, US Medical Information and Scientific Communications is responsible for Medical Information and Scientific Communications support and scientific content deliverables in the Oncology therapeutic area. Responsibilities include the development and review of written Medical Information response documents for healthcare professionals, development and review of medical content for Scientific Communications, including supporting Medical Communications and Medical Training deliverables.
With a focus on Oncology, the Manager/Sr. Manager manages the handling of unsolicited requests, the development of all written Medical Information responses and AMCP dossiers; supports the Medical Training team in the development and content management of Medical Training deliverables; and supports the Medical Communications team in the development and content management of Medical Communications deliverables, including external field medical materials.
Who you are:
◾PhD, PharmD, MD, Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
◾1-3+ yrs or Masters with 3-5+ yrs of experience in similar role or function
◾Mastery of medical terminology and medical literature
◾Understanding of regulatory, legal, and industry guidelines and requirements related to the practice of medical and drug information in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
◾Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to speak professionally to healthcare professionals and patients
◾Excellent organizational skills
◾Solutions oriented – identifies and addresses areas for improvement
◾Takes innovative approach to solving problems; able to work independently
◾Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships
◾Strong project management skills
◾Scientific and/or clinical experience within oncology
◾Experience in pharmaceutical industry within a Medical Information, Communications, or Training function (required for Sr. Manager level)
◾Normal and routine office duties
